So you’ve been thinking of doing affiliate marketing. But you’re not quite sure of even what it is. You see people making a lot of money with it, and you want to dip your toes into it too. Well then let’s get started with this easy method I’ll show you in this article.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Simply put affiliate marketing is just selling other peoples products for a commission. For example, Clickbank is probably the best well known place for this type of marketing. People post their products on there, and you can come there and choose what niche you want to market in and pick a product.
There are others such as Amazon, JVZoo, and Warrior.com
The products all have an affiliate page with the tools you need to market the product. You have a sales page that you direct your customers too. When they purchase from the sales page you make a commission.

You can do that with both free and paid traffic. Free traffic takes the longest because you have to build up an audience. You can do that with Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, and many other places.
Paid traffic on the other hand is much quicker. But there’s a learning curve to it. It’s a good idea to learn paid traffic methods first because it can be expensive. So it comes down to what do you have more of, time or money.
The Method
Before beginning our method, the correct way to do this method is to create a landing page so you can collect email addresses, rather than driving your traffic directly to the sales page. It’s true that the money is in the list.
Because cold traffic rarely converts on the first go around. Once they’re on your mailing list you can warm them up to your offer. But email marketing is for another article later on. Now on to our method today.
For this method we’ll be using 4 websites to accomplish this…
All of these sites are places where people can upload their photos or pictures for people to use. The first 3 are free and all the photos can be downloaded for free. They are royalty and copyright free to use in any way you see fit.
Shutterstock on the other hand is a paid site, for people to use the photos. And might I say its not cheap to buy photos from Shutterstock. So how are we going to create a win, win, win situation here?
First of all, the people on Pixabay, Pexels, and Unsplash are not getting paid or making money for what they’re giving away for free. 2 of those sites do have donate buttons. But my guess is they’re not making much from that. Although the photos on those 3 sites are very good quality.
Those pics you can tell are taken with very good cameras and photo equipment. These people deserve to be making better money than a donate button can do for them. Thats where we come in. We’re going to help these people make money, and make a nice profit ourselves using affiliate marketing. In fact you can make up to $300 per sign up.
Step #1
Head over to Shutterstock.com, Scroll all the way to the bottom of the site. At the bottom, click on the “affiliate/reseller” link.
Sign up for their affiliate program. By filling out their application. Once you’re approved, you’ll get a unique affiliate link. Take that link over to Bitly.com and shorten it up and also so it doesn’t look like it comes from Shutterstock affiliate program.
Make sure you save that bitly link to your affiliate offer.
Step #2
At the other 3 sites, pixabay, pexels, and unsplash, you can of course see all kinds of fantastic photos. And you can even choose certain categories of pictures you like. But this doesn’t really matter.
The nice thing about these 3 sites is you can click on any picture you like. When you do, you will see who the uploader is of it. All you do then is click on the persons name that uploaded the pic. When you do that it takes you to their page or profile page on the site.
Now you will need to create accounts on these 3 sites. But its all free. In fact this method is entirely free to do for you. No cost to do this.
Once you’re logged into your accounts, when you click on a pic then just click on the persons name. At their profile page you will see a button labeled “message”, click on it. You will be presented with what looks like an email form.
What you’re going to do is send them a message telling them how they can make money with their photos. In fact if you do a search on google.com about how much can be made on Shutterstock from selling photos, you can find articles of others who have made lots of money by selling on that site.

So they can read it, put the link in your message to the article. This will help boost their decision to click on your affiliate link.
You just create a message that simply offers them the chance to click your link to inquire further. Don’t be too salesy with this. Just do a creative offer to your prospective customer. Be sure to include your affiliate link at the bottom of your message.
Then just send that message to your customer. When they click on your link and they come over to Shutterstock’s sales page, and if they buy you make money. Up to $300.
Let me say here that this is a numbers game. All affiliate marketing is a numbers game. The more messages you send, the more chance you have to make sales. And on these 3 sites, if you send many messages on all 3 of them your chances are very good you’ll make some sales.
That’s all there is to it…
Conclusion
My suggestion, take massive action on this so you can make lots of money online with it. It’s a win- win- win situation for all involved. You make money. You customer makes money from selling their photos. And of course Shutterstock makes money too.
