Would you like to see how you can spy on Facebook ads and do it for free? Then you should read this.

Ok let’s face it to start with right off the bat. There are far more paid places to do the greater analysis and get greater details on your competitors using Facebook ads.
In fact, I did some thorough research on Google to find the best free places to obtain this knowledge. I found only 3 ways to or places to do it for free. And they’re not detail full. However, you can learn enough about your competitors ads to make a pretty good decision in your paid marketing efforts to maximize your ROI.
In this article I’ll not only show you about how to spy on competitors FB ads, but I’ll also give you a bonus (for free) to help you model your competitors Instagram ads as well.
So let’s break this down…
Way Number #1
Facebook Ads Library. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ads/library/. When you get to the site you will need to login to your Facebook account. This assumes you have one already. After you login you see a search engine.
Use it to find related ads in your niche.
You could be the reason this article goes viral - Tweet it - Learn To - Spy on Facebook Ads - For Free Click To TweetLast year (2019) FB took away the capability to search by keywords such long tail or even most short tail keywords. If you don’t know what long tail and short tail keywords are, they’re just the difference between 3-4 words or more in your searches.
For example, a sentence containing more than 4 words is considered a long tail keyword. Between 1 to 3 words would be a short tail keyword.
But you can do a search on there for groups. You would search for groups in your niche. When you find those groups you will be able to see if they have any active ads running currently and also see those that have run previously.
You will be able to see the links attached to the ads and go to where they lead to. That’s about the amount of details you get for this free method.
But what you can do is take from they’re ads and model your’s after theirs. You can tell how long the ads have been running by scrolling down the page also. Looking only at the active ads, you can tell if they’ve been running those for a long time, it’s a good indication that they’re very successful ads.
Find one you like and use the ideas you get from it to model your’s after it. Of course the more time you spend researching these out, the more ideas you get to model your’s after.
That’s about it for Facebook Ads Library.
It’s an effective way to spy on Facebook ads. But there’s another way too…
Way Number #2
Swiped.co. Go to https://swiped.co . On this site, which is free too, you can search ads for types, niches, and persons. But to do that you need to get to the tags section of the site. Click here to see the tags section straight away.
I found that the best searches are in the niches and persons categories. In the niches category, you can search for ads in any of 94 niches, from A – Z. Including all the most searched niches in the world. Are you familiar with those?
If not they are..
Relationships
Wealth or making money online
Health and Wellness
No other niches are the most sought after than those 3. And you have many sub-niches in those.
In the persons category, you can search ads of some of the most well known internet marketers. Such as Frank Kern, Gary Halber, Dan Kennedy, to name a few.
When you click on either a niche or a person, you can see the ads related to the niche or the ones the person has run and could still be running. You can read more about the ads by clicking on the ads and where it says “view swipe”.
When you do that you can see the complete format the ads were created in. Thus giving you more ideas as to how it was made successful.
You can also see info about the ads below them in the “key takeaways” section. With this information you can get some great ideas as to how to create your ads from these successful ones.
Of course the more time you take doing the research on this site the more ideas you can derive. And this goes for both the niches and person categories.
That’s about the best you can get to spy on competitors Facebook ads. For free anyway. But it’s enough to make a pretty good informed decision on how to create your ads.
